The research project aimed at the implementation of research on experiencing illness and the quality of life in palliative patients. The project focused mainly on patients in the terminal stages of illness. In these patients, the research focused on the experiencing of the disease, in order to create conditions for the placement of certain parts of the interviews on the website.
The research was based on the DIPEx Oxford international project, which is covered by the Health Experiences Research Group, University of Oxford, UK.
In the course of the project, the preparatory phase of the involvement in the DIPEx project included the implementation of 30 qualitative interviews with patients and their subsequent transcription and qualitative analysis according to the DIPEx methodology. The actual data collection was carried out by a trained researcher. Another dimension consisted of the promotion of the education and research activities of academic staff who have been trained in the DIPEx methodology and subsequently implemented qualitative interviews with respondents and analysed and published the results.
